What's really funny is that, when I tweeted the same VH song to you as my fave Songsmith re-rendering, I thought nothing of the "content/title" of the song. Or maybe it was more I was thinking of Mark Lee the "rock fan" and not Mark Lee the "Christian rocker." I know you take a more pragmatic approach to such songs (as per your comment on it in the blog entry) but I just found it particularly amusing...

About the John Mayer clip...I know what he means by the different tones and things, but I've always wanted to know, and I'm sure Mark, you could help me answer this...is there a certain technique to playing fast like that? Like to playing fast riffs and solos? I've always had a hard time with that, and I've only been playing for about six years, and still can't do fast solo's/riffs...any advice?

I saw them in Atlanta back in '92 and it was KIL-LER!

Regarding the "positive guitar community": I was thinking it was more like a double negative... the devil is negative, Songsmith is negative, they cancel out. Just like I Ain't Got No...

Just Tweeted this your way, but interesting attachment announced that uses lasers to help you learn songs on guitar: http://poprl.com/Gsp Be interested in seeing how good it really is...
