Keeping it positive
So here we have it - another guitar website. As you’re looking around this blog, kicking the tires, the first thing that pops in your head might be “Why is there a need for another guitar website?” Well, I’ll tell you why. As a guitarist myself, I have been using online websites and tools for well over a decade. While there are definitely some great sites the web, there is also a culture of negativity that seems to go hand in hand. Also, since I play in a Christian rock band, I don’t think there exists a website quite like this one. At least the way I envision it.
Here are two things I aim to do with the Six String Lounge:
Keep it positive, both in musical style AND in approach: I play in a “Christian rock” band so that is the genre I will focus on the most. Also, a BIG reason why I started this blog was to combat the culture of negativity that seems to go hand in hand with talking about guitar. It DOESN’T have to be this way, and we are going to prove it!
Keep it clutter free: 99% of guitar and music sites on the web are so full of ads that you can barely find the content. Other than a few links to “partners” who have supported me through the years, I aim to keep this blog clutter free.
